The Purpose of life is to contribute in some way to make things better.

About Sweet Basil Life ~
I'm ... well, I don't fit into that " I am box"rule. I am a combination of Old Soul, a little country with a splash of techno. My happiest moments, at this stage of my life, are when I'm creating. The kitchen is my happy place. Crank up a little music, light some candles, and I'm a happy kitchen camper. Cooking for me is an art form, not a mundane task. Being able to share from the kitchen is a gift on many levels.
When I'm not creating in the kitchen, I'm typically creating something somewhere. This site is a stepping stone in the journey of building a new life; a dream life that has been brewing for a very long time. I will be sharing with you my love of old houses, old barns, and old souls. Honoring them by bringing their stories to life is my mission.
My wish for this business, this site and this life is to bring joy, peace, and grace to all who enter ~ whether it be virtually or in reality. I truly hope to share the gifts given to me divinely, spiritually, and physically with the world. I believe by sharing the things that we are passionate about, we bring love to the world with our actions.
I do hope that you visit and sit a spell with us at Sweet Basil Life. There will be sweet tea, biscuits, vegetarian delights and southern cooking with a twist or not (..and a LOT more from the kitchen and the pantry) Canning, preserving and jelly making will be gifts to share. Folklore and history will be ingrained in all we do. For added adventure there will be regular soap making, candle making and creating with herbs. Story time will be a delight to follow along with Miss Basil and her guests. Add Barnyard Shenanigans, and you have the ultimate entertainment. Honestly, there are just too many adventures to list, so please check back and see what we're up to. I can guarantee that whatever is happening, it will be done with love and always a little magic.
